Transportation/Parking

There are Red, Brown, and Blue line El stops on Chicago Ave.  The Brown line stops at Chicago and Franklin, which is approximately 4 blocks east of Aimee’s building.  The Red line is at Chicago and State, about a 15-20 minute walk in nice weather.  Otherwise one could take the bus from there.  The Blue Line stops at Milwaukee and Chicago which is about 4-5 blocks west of Aimee’s (although the neighborhood can be a little shady on the west side of the river, especially walking at night).

Additionally, her building has a doorman who will gladly put on the cab light, and it is very easy to get a cab in her neighborhood.

As for parking, the meters on the street are free after 6:00 pm and there are usually plenty of meters available on Chicago or Superior.  Also, on the north side of Chicago Ave. on Larrabee, there are usually parking spots available after 6 pm.
